Bringing support and resources to survivors and families across Manitoba and Canada.
Ending the misunderstandings and stigma surrounding survivors and domestic violence
Educating Manitobans about the effects of domestic violence.
Encouraging survivors, children and families to heal and break their silence.
Providing a safe environment for an open and non-judgmental conversation though story telling, arts, safe circle etc...
Addressing Economic Abuse in a holistic approach.
Breaking the Silence on Domestic Violence equips survivors with essential skills and tools to secure or start a business to recover from economic abuse. Working with coalitions of women’s community organizations, financial institutions (Credit unions, banks), utility companies, essential service providers, telecommunication companies, industry regulators, ombudsman services, all 3 level of governments, the criminal justice system (police, prosecutors, and the judiciary system), the family justice system, consumer lawyers as well as researchers and academics to influence government and industry responses to the financial impact of domestic and family violence.
